I cannot beilieve that it’s all over! I first watched an episode of Death Note, and instantly fell in love with it!!! I almost cried when Light dies in the end! I was hoping that he would survive, or at least have someone success him! But, he way they ended the series was absolutely astonishing. The man behind it all was brilliant. If anyone else thinks that they should make another series of episodes, please reply to this.

-DEATHNOTE ever is the coolest manga, anime series. Oh there’s a movie also. I like it soooooo much. I love you KIRA. And I like deathgod REM.
I like Ryuzaki. He is the coolest character in this series though he was terminated before the series reach the end… The ending is too predictable, I thought it would end a little bit unusual. In the series, Ryuk told Light that the person who uses the death note will neither go to heaven nor hell. The author should atleast gave us a glimpse of where a death note user will go. But still deathnote is the best anime for me.

I support the original L, and Near. Kira is not justice, Kira is evil. I think Light was the ideal person before he found the Death Note, smart, intellectual(and no, those aren’t the same thing), concerned about college, etc. I always found Death Note to be the most intigruing anime Ive ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of anime.
I like this anime is the best anime i ever seen. I love L, Light, Ryuk and Misa. But Light is justice !!!!

1st – Light is not the justice
he just a stupid guy think that the justice come when we kill all ppls who make any mistake and thats how he do it .
but that’s not a right thing to do; every human have mistakes; we r not angels or gods we r the humans; and when u found some one make a mistake u have to help him to take him to the right way not just shot him down or even kill him or (write his name on the death note lol xD); this is the good way

i am like Ryuk. i am neither on Light’s side or (recently deceased)L’s side. BUT!!!! i agree that what Light is doing is justice(pretty much because he HOTT!!) ALSO!!!! with L always trying to capture “Kira”(me) then Light would have had to be really careful while working on the force. but, like i said before, i am like Ryuk. i am neither on Light’s side or (recently deceased)L’s side. of course, it’s still sad that L dies.

“L”, Ryuzaki, is far more superior than Light.. He judged equally and his logical reasoning is pretty remarkable. But unfortunately, he died not because of Light, but by Ryuk(a deathgod), so i think L is the most competent

L Lawliet seems, from polls I’ve conducted and simply looking at posts on various sites (such as YouTube), the favorite character of the series. In my opinion, he certainly is.
L, who tailed Kira no matter what the circumstance – as most of you know, he even enrolled in Light’s school because he suspected him of being Kira – knew that he was in extreme danger. In the end, he did die, but his discoveries made it possible for Light to die as well, which he did.
Tsugumi Ohba, the writer of Death Note, has said himself that L is the smartest character in the manga. (From Death Note: How to Read 13. Viz Media. Page 191.)
Now, both L and Light have a strong sense of justice, but Light becomes seriously corrupt near the end of the series. Take L’s funeral, for example. (It wasn’t included in the English anime, but you can find Japanese subbed versions on YouTube.) Light taunted L’s gravestone very harshly, and even let out an extraordinary sinister laugh that seemed to scare even Ryuk. After that, Light, with glowing red eyes, went on a maniacal killing spree. And it shows a caption that says something in the lines of “Kira’s judgement became more harsh” and “the world was entering an age of darkness [ruled by Kira as their god - this was stated earlier].”
Light’s first intentions with the Death Note seemed good enough. He only killed sinister criminals. But then he started killing innocent people and people who only committed minor crimes. Some may argue that he only did this to save himself, and his wonderful idea of a crime-free world. However, notice how he committed these tasks without any emotion… He had killed so many people that he had hardened himself to kill without thought.
Well, to sum up: I think L is better than Light.

kira is the best. kira is justice. L sucks and just an idiot. kira was perfect from the start till the end, but other characters were not as clever as he was…that lead to his death. but L’s deduction and senses are exaggerated, how could he know all that thing, be reasonable. he is predicting from his ass!!:)) that piece of shit L, and sum near and merro they all suck!! only two of them getting together managed to kill kira. even so he was not going to die if mikami was not an idiot. so kira rules whatever you say. and i love him even he is corrupt and has no emotion at all. long live kami!!!

From reading these posts, I think that you guys are all getting way too serious about this. I’m a diehard fan myself, but to downright proclaim yourselves the reincarnations of the characters is just silly. I’d much rather be an OC rather than the characters themselves: that way, I can look in from the outside and make my own choices, my own views, my own morals, and not have to conform to preformulated ideals, like those of you who call yourselves L or Kira. Face it: Kira created an unwholesome peace through murder, and L took the first step towards a social war. While L put his life on the line to solve the deep, unsettling problem of Kira’s radical Judicial system, Kira showed that a world without crime IS possible, but only if we take a leaf from his book and DON’T follow his example. Thus the affects of both are cancelled.
This is now addressed to Burcu: I really hope for your mental health’s sake that you don’t mean what you typed: I can see how people can sympathise with Kira’s ideals, however Kira is a murderer who is trying to get a good thing through bad ways. If someone got in his way, they were tossed out: he was even willing to put the life of his family in the way to get what he wanted, and there is no warmth in that twisted soul of his: he was killing without mind nor murmer and if you yourself did anything to help him, you would only get yourself killed if you did the slightest thing to upset his meticulous plans. by your feverish swearing and throwing up of spoonfed ‘opinions’, you are probably not the best at thinking for yourself so please do not go off saying such things of people smarter than you.
As for L, he was the world’s greatest detective who unfortunately didn’t know when the getting was good. he may have seemed as uptight as what you made of him but that is because he was isolated for most of his life and didn’t know how to work with others – only how to work on the case. He did tread on a number of toes in his day, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t the best at what he did.
the best thing therefore, is to stay out of the fight: it is not your battle, and the less that interfere the less that will get hurt. Now, let me ask you this: if a family member who you cared deeply for was deemed unworthy by Kira to be left to live, would you let that person die, knowing that the grief would be great but it was more convinient for your ‘Kami’, or would you save them knowing that you may be targetted instead, knowing that there is now such thing in any moral issue as “Black and White”? Please reply, and I apologise in advance for the harshness.

Death Note Rules!
To xinos: wow, you suck in deducing the whole point of Death Note. You should be ashamed of yourself! Light is both the protagonist and the antagonist of the series, the anime let’s you choose if you support Kira as god (notice the small g for god) or not (I support Kira. Heck, I always do my evil laugh when Light wins but I miss Lawliet xD ). But most importantly, Death note is pure fiction! All anime is!

I hate hate Light. He has a pure spirit but it’s just ruined by other people and made him turn evil. I can’t say I really have anything against Light besides the fact that he forced Rem to kill L. L was my favorite character! People just like Light for like no reason O_O I mean they only like Light because he is the main character, if you see closely nobody deserves to die ^_^ yes I sound like one of those wise stupid old ppl bit it’s true. I just don’t understand why do people like Light.
